Filmtech's Summer 2010 Teen Film Day Camps
You can pay for the camps online using Paypal or Google Checkout, or by calling our Registration Office at 215-313-0123. You can also send a check made payable to Media Enterprises LLC to the address above. Registration must be completed and payment made 2 weeks before the start of class. Filmtech's summer filmmaking camps are a great way for your teen to have fun, be creative and learn how to write, shoot and edit a video project. Open to anyone from 13 to 18 years old, our camps teach the fundamentals of the collaborative process of moviemaking as the students work together all week as a crew. Your child will learn how story structure, character and plot work together to tell a story as they write a short script. They then work with our directing instructors and bring the script to life in front of the camera by learning how to work with actors, gather light and sound, operate the camera and set up their shots. Finally, the crew edits the video on Final Cut Pro software and finishes the week with a DVD of their work.
When:
Filmtech offers several week-long day camp sessions to choose from. This year they will be held July 5-9, July 19-23, August 2-6 and August 16-20, each from 9:30 AM-4 PM.
Where:
Classes are held at Filmtech Film School in South Philadelphia at 2019 S. Juniper St., off Broad Street and Snyder Avenue. The school is in a safe, quiet neighborhood, easily accessible by public transportation or by car. See our Location page for more information.
Tuition:
$595 per student. Registration must be completed and payment received 2 weeks before the start of class.
